A beautiful blue sky and cool, comfortable temperatures…you really couldn’t ask for better weather as St. Mary’s Catholic Church held their annual homecoming bazaar on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the church grounds in Bremond, Texas. The large crowd, many of whom have Polish roots in Robertson and Falls county, obviously enjoyed the day.
The traditional delicious barbecue beef and sausage dinner was served beginning at 11:30 am along with all of the fixings, home made deserts and ice tea. The long dinner line formed early and continued into the afternoon. Beef and chicken by the pound to take home was available outside at the barbecue pits.
Lots of fun and activity for all ages included the Country Store, Toy and Plant Booth along with face painting and hay rides for the kids. The Homemade Goods booth sold lots of delicious Bremond food. The bleacher seats were filled to capacity for the auction where livestock, furniture, tools and lots of homemade items were sold to the highest bidder. Bingo was played in the hall from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and the Raffle drawings was held at 8:00 pm.
Below are a few photos of the fun and there is a slideshow of many more photos on page 2.
