The 8th annual reunion of the descendants of Peter Kmiec was held at St. Stanislaus Community Center in Chappell Hill, Texas on the afternoon of October 2, 2010. The Kmiec family enjoyed fun, food, music and fellowship beginning with a special family Mass for all living and deceased family members celebrated by Msgr. Ben Zientek in the historic old St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
The fun started after Mass with a cake walk and then musical chairs for the kids. A delicious barbecue brisket and sausage dinner with lots of side dishes was served along with ice tea and homemade desserts. The children kept busy decorating pumpkins and there was a crazy t-shirt contest and a silent auction. Door prize and raffle drawings were held for the adults and children along with prizes for the oldest, youngest and longest married family members.
Polish musician Daniel Cendalski and his Country Boys band provided the musical entertainment with a mix of old Polish tunes and popular dance music.

James Smock has always held an interest in his Polish ancestors and heritage. He is a native Houstonian with Polish roots in Bremond, Marlin and New Waverly, Texas.
