A large crowd of people with Polish roots in Robertson and Falls county enjoyed a beautiful blue sky and comfortable temperatures as St. Mary’s Catholic Church held their annual homecoming bazaar on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the church grounds in Bremond, Texas. A delicious barbecue beef and sausage dinner with all of the trimmings including homemade desserts and ice tea was served beginning at 11:30 am and it didn’t take long for the large parish hall to fill up with diners. Beef and chicken by the pound for take home was available outside at the barbecue pits.
Fun activities for all ages included the Country Store, Toy and Plant Booth along with face painting, an obstacle course and hay rides for the kids. Sandwiches, funnel cakes, soft drinks and beer were available outside and the Homemade Goods booth sold lots of delicious Bremond bread, pickles, jam and other goodies.
At 1:00 pm. the outdoors bleacher seats filled up with bidders as the live auction started. Lots of livestock, bales of hay, furniture, tools and homemade items were sold throughout the afternoon. Bingo was played in the hall from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and the raffle drawings were held at 8:00 pm.
Below are a few photos of the fun and there is a slideshow of more photos on page 2
